And -- while I have never been *lowered* into a cave ::eyes you admiringly:: -- there are quite a few caves in the Ozarks and we went on tours of some of the bigger ones, and I think some of the mountain landscape there (and even the moonshine history, since I've seen decaying old stills) is sorta related to your scenery. So looking at the (beautiful; I love Terragalleria) photos of Mammoth Cave was sort of like Old Home Week, and I could feel that damp chilly cave air.
