Oh I totally agree re. LR and also tired of remakes but his one's quite different - the same elements but new scripts, updated premises and also written by David Nobbs, together with Simon Nye who wrote Men Behaving Badly. Martin Clunes is Reggie this time.

I was dubious at first but it was really rather good, I thought. I especially loved the dream sequences - this time, instead of going into an obvious daydream, something shocking happens as part of the continuation of the scene, then cuts back to the start of that scene and we see what's really happening - usually Reggie smiles and says nothing as opposed to cutting a kid's computer cable and announcing 'let's dance!' to the train. It fooled me 2ce before I got wise to them.

DL it if you get the chance and form your own opinion. I liked it a lot, I must say.
