Fry's English Delight.
Posting from the garden, the sun is out, all is lush and green and lovely. Stephen Fry is talking glorious nonsense on listen again on fabulous Radio Four, (two national treasures in one delightful, easy to use package!) I have tea, everything smells of mown grass and jasmine, swallows swooping in the field at the back. What a lovely country this is, to be sure.
I am glad to be alive today.
I just thought I'd mention it, for the record and all that.

Sorry about the meeting (did the poop get you or were you able to duck?) enjoy the sparrows and indeed, butterflies. We have a terrible paucity this year, a scattering of red admirals, peacocks and tortoiseshells on the Buddleia and the very occasional meadow brown in the fields. Very sad.

Ack, the meeting was just one of those unfortunate things in life... I have a terrible tendency to plant my feet and be brutally honest... gee, and that goes down so well *hg*
We had almost no butterflies at all until last week, and then suddenly - thousands! I've never seen so many in our garden. Every buddleia flower has three or more butterflies on it - and we have six or seven big bushes... maybe yours will show up soon too.
