Probably my last post on this for the weekend.

Glinner just posted a link to a blog post from an American who lived in the UK who puts the record on the NHS about as straight as it can be, I think. Very fair, very reasoned, very well written.

And now I really musty get my act together and pack my bag. It's FRIDAY people! Let us give thanks and be merry.

Here in Italy we have public healthcare, in my personal experience I can't complain much, though in the news you only hear about malpractice and accidents.

Last July I was in Edinburgh and half my face got swollen up the size of a balloon, I was scared out of my head, the guys at the B&B scared me more talking about long wait and high fees, instead the NHS Dental Clinic was just perfect. All the people were kind and professional, they explained the procedure and spent quite a long time on me trying to make it better (and even if I'm a foreigner I paid only a minimal fee! 18£ for more than hour of work, I couldn't believe my ears, I thought they said 80!!!)
