We're staying in too. The miniscule amount of snow we got here thawed a bit then refroze, so now we have packed ice. The taxi ride back from Sainsbury's earlier was a bit hairy coming up our hill! Plus my friend Ross, who was coming over from Fleetwood to drive us to the party, had to turn back as the roads between here and there are either treacherous or closed.
I am not heartbroken to stay in, it is fair to say, being still under the weather cold-wise. I bought the most delicious organic chai tea, which I am sipping alongside a glass of brandy. For medicinal reasons, of course...
I'm glad you're snug too. The snow here is deep and crisp and freezing badly but unless it's dramatically worse in the morning, we'll be off to Yorkshire tomorrow so this is our last night of cosy peace at home.
