Too cool for subject

While I didn't get a numb bum with boredom, I didn't think it was a fantastic movie and wont be rushing to see it again. A Sherlock Holmes for these times, perhaps, but not one I'm inclined to relate to. I think the problem was that I kept comparing it to From Hell with Johnny Depp and while I know that one detective has nothing to do with the other I remember finding this film far more gripping. Must go dig it out and watch it again to see if the old memory serves me correctly.
