A lunatic with a gun has gone on the rampage in Cumbria.

These are villages I know really well, it's the least likely place I can think of for something like this to happen. Tragic and horrible and bizarre.

In other news, I have been striken by the Gods in the form of a very bad back. I'm in quite a ludicrous amount of pain and am not supposed to spend much time on the computer (looks shifty). The one good thing about this rather unpleasant state of affairs is the bad-ass drugs the lovely NHS has provided me with. They don't look like a carrot but have tended to make me extraordinarily high and this is by way of an advance apology for anything I might say or do for the next several days - it may not go well. You have been warned.

I haven't watched any news but just reading the posts here is awful. Incomprehensible.

And I hope the high from your drugs is covering up some highly effective back-healing going on behind the scenes. Backs are such darn useful critters, and they should not get all hurty on a person. ::hugs you gently::
