A lunatic with a gun has gone on the rampage in Cumbria.

These are villages I know really well, it's the least likely place I can think of for something like this to happen. Tragic and horrible and bizarre.

In other news, I have been striken by the Gods in the form of a very bad back. I'm in quite a ludicrous amount of pain and am not supposed to spend much time on the computer (looks shifty). The one good thing about this rather unpleasant state of affairs is the bad-ass drugs the lovely NHS has provided me with. They don't look like a carrot but have tended to make me extraordinarily high and this is by way of an advance apology for anything I might say or do for the next several days - it may not go well. You have been warned.

I've been watching events unfold from my sofa-of-pain - there's precious else to do tbh, I'm flipping between News 24 and PMQ's, such is the extent of my loose-endedness. :)

Thank you for your adorably pink and fluffy, puppy-soft concern my lovely but the pain's not too bad now I'm high as a kite taking my medicine like a good girl and so long as I don't move around too much. I have tea and snacks to hand, control of the remote weird-shit manips of Tory front-benchers dressed as Japanese schoolgirls and a bona-fide excuse to eat cheese and be idle. If it wasn't for the bad back, I'd be in heaven. *g*
