I'm tired.

I hardly slept all night - I donlt have the exact statistics, but it was well after 3am when I last looked at the clock.

It's a beautiful day; me should go walkies but me too fat n lazy.

My goals for the day:
1. Slice some veggies and put a pasta sauce in the oven.
2. Try to do, at least another 500 words of my book, to bring my day's total up to 750, before I give up on work for today. How bloody sad is that?
3. Eat tea. Drink toast.

Thus is my life. It ain't pretty.

BUT! An angel in the form of [personal profile] patk has recced wind whispering.  And so, with one bound, my day is saved from the trough of despond!

Still gotta cook that sauce and write those words though... ::sigh::

Sorry to hear you're not sleeping well :-( ...I guess the amazing bed hasn't arrived yet?

Tea for you! Toast for you!

Aw, tis just one ofthose things. Sleep is one of thise things I've never really got the hang of.

Still waiting for shipping companies to get back to us with quotes before we can even order the magic bed, alas!

Thank you, honey :-D

You're welcome. Now for your REAL treat! *g*

Gilly's treat

Wish I could share some with you for real. *sigh*

LOL!

Actually, I don't wanna chuck your lovely gift in your face, babe, but the one thing I cannot eat is chocolate cake. Got any olives, or a nice chunk of cheese? (o:

[identity profile] betagoddess.livejournal.com 2007-02-05 05:20 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL. You know, I wondered about that, cause I do have a few friends who don't care for chocolate. Sorry!

Gilly treat 1 Gilly treat 2

Gilly treat 3 Gilly treat 4

Well, that's the really big advantage of virtual treats! No calories. *g*

Enjoy away!

A richly deserved rec! And I was happy to see you've posted Wind Whispering and Chasing Rainbows at 852. More slashfen purists (is that a word? slashfen, I mean -- I *know* pure's a word. In theory, anyway.) will have a chance to read them -- which is a *very* good thing for them!

Hope your tea was crisp and buttery and your toast not too stewed.

Oh, okay, wait. Was that, like, an English-ism, where you're having tea, which is tea with something to eat, so you're "eating tea" -- then drinking a toast to the general whateverness of the day? ::frowns thinkingly, in bemusement...which is doing a respectable and welcome job of putting off her own needful tasks::

"A richly deserved rec!
Oh my ::blush:: Thank you, baby!

"And I was happy to see you've posted Wind Whispering and Chasing Rainbows at 852. "
Just following Fluterbev's lead. Since I've got more slash to post soon, and more being written, it seemed the thing to do. I'm very glad I did, I'm getting luverly feedback (o:

"Hope your tea was crisp and buttery and your toast not too stewed."
Both were just perfect, thank you (o:

"Oh, okay, wait. Was that, like, an English-ism..."
Urm... That would be a 'no' ::G::

More slash to post soon? And more being written? *g* That's music in my ears. :-)

I knew about your long stories before they popped up at 852 but I'm a little wary and careful when it comes to reading gen stories. *G* You followed the discussion on P-L, so I suppose you know what I'm talking about . But as soon as I saw the stories were up at 852 I knew it would be "safe" to read them. ;-)

And man, I'm so glad I read Wind Whispering and I've printed out your other stories too in order to read them as soon as I have enough free time for it. I just know I'll not be able to stop reading as soon as I've started which means, I have to make sure that I have enough spare time to indulge myself in your work. *g*

Well, gosh... Thank you! I'm always slightly thrown when someone says they like my stuff. You write them, you post them, you hope people will like them. It's always very (very!) nice when people do - especially so, when folks are good enough to rec them.

I hope you enjoy Rainbows. The only other fic I have (that's not up at 852) is the 'Man From Uncle' story, which can't even claim to be tenuously 'pre-slash'!) - there's a completed slash story being beta'd at the moment, and at least a couple more to come.

I think writing slash is like swimming naked, once you've taken that initial plunge, it's really hard to go back to wearing a cossie ::G::

You're welcome. *g* The "Man from UNCLE" story, you mean "The Sentinel Affair", right? I'm going to read it anyway. *g* I enjoy well written gen stories as well as a nice slash story as long as the author doesn't tries to drive the "they're not gay, no way, never!!!" message home with a sledgehammer. *g*

And I think there's no need for you to go back to wearing a cossie. ;-)

Well I can promise you'll NEVER get that from me!

I hope you enjoy The Sentinel Affair - oddly enough, I was looking at it again a couple of days ago - I tend to ignore it because it was such an odd universe; so very different from the kind of thing I like to write, but looking at it again, I think there's some good stuff there and I'm starting to feel quite kindly disposed to it.
