My Life and other disasters.
Hey ho... I am SO trying to catch up with life at the moment and it keeps getting away from me.
So what's new, chez Gilly you may ask yourself? Well, nothing much, sadly... I just spent the last three days tiling my parents kitchen; tiled like a loony I have, but ran out of tiles, so no more tiling till next visit (since I bought them in Chorley). Oh dear what a shame. Cut my finger rather badly hacking the old tiles off too; bled like a bastard. )o:
But I've been making writery progress; been hauling my fat arse out of bed at six to write my book which is (if I can keep to the very slack schedule I've set myself) due to be finished next Saturday. I'll be sending out the traditional begging email to my agent this week and keeping my fingers crossed.
My fic writing activities have been a bit neglected as a result, but I'm hoping to press on with those over the next few days. And I need to do some serious re-writing on the last bit of my Moonridge fic if the comment from my worthy betas is anything to go by. Hey ho...
Of course, I'd've got a LOT more work done today if I hadn't just spent TWO HOURS reading an old fic. Linda, who runs the Pete Duel Site emailed to say the new fic page was now live; I moseyed over to look and ended up getting very involved in The Gift, a fic I wrote some years ago. It wasn't half bad, either. Damn, I'm good! <VBG>
And it seems...
Such is my life. How about the rest of you? I hope all's well with your world, my estimable flist. If I owe you emails and/or comment, I might finally get around to you sometime today.
Anyway, back to twinkling like the Milky Way...

You have a sunny disposition and are normally one of the first to show up for the party. You don't need too much attention from the host once you get there as you are more than capable of making yourself seen and heard.
Heh heh... Well that's so true... ::whistles, examines fingernails::

Hope that the book is still coming along and best of luck with the rest of the tiling - try to finish with yourself in one piece!
as for catching up on things - I know just what you mean, I always seem to have a list that's a mile long but, well, i'm convinced it's just not possible to ever catch up, there's just not enough time to do the chores, go to work and have fun!
As for flowers, well, I can't disagree with you as a daffodil, but I came out as a violet or snapdragon - not sure bout either!
take care,
Sheila

Most of the tiling is done; gotta finish that next time, then it's on with their bathroom. Hey ho.
The book is close to done, at least, the first draft is almost done, but to quote Hemingway; "the first draft of anything is shit."
Never said a truer word...
