MORE than!

Well my idea is this James is the Doctor's cousin their father's are brothers. As a child James would be sent off to keep the Doctor Company every so often, then when they went to the Academy together the Doctor would drag James off on mini adventures and get him involved in pranks etc. (Much like Jeremy and Richard when you think about it)

James was never destined to be like the Doctor at all he was happy on Galifrey writing and performing music and just living a simple life. During the Time War that would change and due to his family connection he sort of got drafted and it was when he was piloting a damaged TARDIS back to Gallifey that he got yanked out of the Time stream and crash landed on earth.

His TARDIS console is burnt out and behoed it’s James knowledge to fix it if that is possible.

He’s trapped and his TARDIS then settles in the form of a piano and the first time he ventures into a London street he nearly gets run over.

This would be James thinking back on how he ended up on Top Gear and thinking about how much he misses home.

That was the first idea I had for it.
