Tony Wilson has died.

OMG, I'm stunned. I knew he was very ill with cancer, but even so...

God, that is so sad.

I've spent half my life watching him, on Granada Reports then later as the head of Factory, the Hacienda etc, then back on Granada Reports when it all went pear shaped.

I'd watch '24 Hour Party People' in his honour, but I don't have the disc with me.

::Raises a glass of cheap red in fond memory::  RIP AHW; you were one of the good guys.

And now it's killing me that I'm not home because of all the great tribute programmes they're sure to be showing. Guess I'll have to download them.
