This is an odd one; I can't see anyone being interested in my desktop but hey, I'm in need of small amusements...

http://pics.livejournal.com/gillyp/pic/00029r8q

No excitement here, I'm afraid. The picture changes on a whim, sometimes it's Sentinelly but I like this pic, of the woods above my house; it's nicely restful and I use it a lot. This is where I go running and am occasionally run down by deer. My desktop's usually a bit messier than this; I tend to keep fanfic waiting in a holding pattern all over the piccie but I've just put it all in a new folder - the one that's hanging on the middle right of the picture; it's appeared right over a stone that's looking like a shadow under the folder - like the folder is hovering in the woods, which is a wee bit freaky.

What can I say? I'm not the most exciting person, you know

That is utterly lovely. So green! Not like the Australian bush which leans to shades of silver-green.

Oh, that's just early spring, and under a Beech wood where not much grows anyway - it's usually a lot greener, but the Australian Bush has its own charms. (o:

It looks exactly like I'd imagined Middle Earth to look.

Wow, what a gorgeous photo! If I had those woods behind my house I think I'd never go indoors. Beautiful.

You probably don't get as much rain as we do. (o: I love the landscape where I live and I love being out in it, but 50% of the time it's just p***** it down. *G*

A dream-pic when you are stuck in a big town.

It's a nice place to live but often I pine for the stimulation of the city.

It is lovely. I keep meaning to pic spam on the route of my run, for myself as much as anything as we'll probably be moving away soon.

The icon is another bit of the same woods after the bluebells come out in May, btw. (o:
