I myself know nothing about police work, but my Long Ridge colleague Lynda Sandoval was a police officer, and wrote a great and very useful little book about what happens behind the scenes. It's called TRUE BLUE. I don't have my own copy yet, but another writer told me it's a great help in writing about police procedures.

Thanks for that; though I don't really write much about police procedures, it's something I actually have a real aversion to.
