Urm, oooh, urm... Well, I write a lot of notes when I'm thinking about the story and as I'm writing/thinking, ideas just come. Often, I get a very strong visual image so I work on that (why's he/she doing that? Why are they there, etc.) and as I think about it, the brain's throwing out explanations (he's sitting by the fire with a cat - he hides himself in the kitchen - why? What happened to make him this reclusive? How does he come to have this nice, big house if he doesn't work? Why doesn't he work)

I just think about the person and the ideas come - often ideas that completely alter the plot I had planned, as they have with this book, but my stories are usually plot light and character heavy as a rule.

Where can I find these interesting-sounding discussions, btw? (o:

LOL! Unfortunately you can't, they were conducted over that traditional, outdated mode of communication...the phone... *eg*

Thanks though, hon, it's interesting to see how different people approach it. :-)
