...Everyone, for all the messages and gifts and love. I'm not really up to answering individually right now; I'm not online much at all, tbh, but I want you all to know how very appreciated your kindness is.

Thank you all so much.

The funeral is set for a week on Friday, November 9th. My cousin Ian's a vicar and he'll be doing the service. I don't expect to be around much till it's all done and dusted.

I was so sorry to hear that your Mum had passed. I wish there was something I could say that would help...but I know from personal experience this is just so very hard, and there's no way around that.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your dear Mother. Please know she is free of pain and at peace and would want you to take care of yourself and your precious Dad.

(I've been offline for two days, and just saw your post.) I'm so sorry for your loss! I hope that your memories will help to sustain you in your time of mourning. But y'know, no matter what we say, it's gonna hurt. I have a fairly close relationship with my mother; in fact, I get along better with her than just about anyone else in my family. When she dies, it will be devastating for me. So I have an inkling of what you're feeling. ::hugs you::

And my condolences to your dad, too. (He and your mom have been together since their late teens? Wow!) I hope he can find the strength and joie de vivre to keep on going even though he probably feels as though he's lost an essential part of himself.

We don't know each other, but I wanted to express my condolences. Take the time you need to mourn - it's hard to do with so much going on, but you won't regret it ever. And your mum is worth it.
