And I stopped printing fic back in 2004 when I bought my first Palm.

Sorry for the edit (I hit return to soon).

Anyway, I have had a palm for 1.5 years, too, and absolutely love it for reading fic. I used the "Plucker Desktop" (www.plkr.org) to get fic onto my palm but since I upgraded my MacOS find to my horror that the program won't work any longer and there is no newer version. So, how do you get fic onto your palm? (Even if you use a windows program or something the info might still help me.)

There's a variety of programs, all available for download. I use Aportisdoc but it's not made any more - Mobi Reader is probably better. That converts text files (it works more consistently if you save in plain text rather than word) to a format your palm can read, then just put the files on your card/palm's hard disc in the usual way.

If you're using a mac, I'm not so sure, I had to give up on macs when my old one packed in - they're too expensive for me now. I'm sure Mobi works with MacOS though.

Unfortunately the Mobyread Creator does not work with MacOS but your comment helped me find a page that listed alteratives that I hadn't previously found :-) I'm now the proud owner of a sofware called iSilo that does the trick. Works pretty much (even more stable and with more options) like my old software so I'm very happy :-) Thanks so much!

Ah, good old iSilo, didn't realise that worked with MacOS.

Glad you got it sorted.
