LOL, hmmmm... Never seen Master Piece theatre; I saw the version of The Irish RM with Peter Bowles. I can sort of see that though I think it's more Mab than me. (o:

barkeep Blair the Goat. Strangely enough, I do see what you're saying here.

Hatari...? Now you've lost me.

So, we're talking costume drama; how about something a little more BBC; brooding lighting, long pauses, sexual tension Abounding. How are you on Jim n Blair in Flight of the Heron (Jim as Ewan Cameron of course)?

I shall put my mind to it (I was going to say I've never done historical but I did a Roman one and one set in the 60's so that would have been a lie, wouldn't it. (o:)

The Irish RM with Peter Bowles
That's the one. I have the whole series on video (of course we have only one working player) fell head over for Flurry the scamp.
Hatari!" John Wayne, Red Buttons , wrangling animals in Africa.
Flight of the Heron
I feel like I should know this, but it escapes me...
Tell me any tale and I'll be happy. I'm currently re-reading Chasing Rainbows it's wonderful.

Flight of the Heron was written by DK Broster in the 20's it's the tale of the strange relationship that develops between a Highland aristocrat fighting for Bonnie Prince Charlie and an English major during the 45 rebellion. There's a strong mystic aspect; a prophecy - one of them is going to die, but which one..,? It's buddy fiction at its best; deliciously, quietly slashy and the angst is extraordinary. If you've not read it I can't rec it too highly.

Jim n Blair wrangling animals in Africa...? Hmmm... can I reserve judgement on that? *g*

I'm massively (but quietly, there are others in the room (o:) squeeful that you like Rainbows; hopefully the first sequel should be out fairly soon (I'm wibbling about it a bit, because it's quite different from CR, slash of course, but much darker in tone and about to get darker still in part 3).
