because I am a master of prevarication.[Poll #1109659][Poll #1109659]
I smell of dust, old books and bluebells. So I gave in and made a poll....

'A monkey's *what*??'
I honestly don't know.
Too cool for subject
There's no ending?!? I thought it would be "monkey's arse" or "monkey's tit" or something like that.

I can no longer remember whether we use "gray" or "grey", "realize" or "realise", but I DO remember I need my "u"s. LOL.
I have always called my mother, "Mum" and my kids call me "Mummy", but that is very uncommon here now. Just don't give me "boot" and "lift" and "Uni". LOL!

I know I need my 'u's, and frankly grey/gray is pretty darn interchangeable for me, as are practise/practice or realise/realize. My son calls me Mum, and half the time we drive by the Uni - but I do give you that we don't tend to use the lift, and the only 'boots' we are concerned with are the ones we were on our feet. :D

My parents were both from Ontario with ancestors going back several generations. Growing up English in Toronto, we even say "to-MAW-to" and "dyew". *g*
But with the bombardment of South of the Border "English" all my life, I have to admit I sometimes also say "to-may-to" and am unfortunately used to seeing no "u"s in my words. *sigh*

I really don't mind which spelling people use - I read so much of both, half the time I don't notice, and if I do, I sort of note to myself that ah-ha must be American, but that's as far as I bother. I'm even getting used to sidewalks and elevators in UK fandoms and vice versa... it used to throw me slightly, but now I just get the meaning and enjoy reading.
But then - world's laziest writer/most greedy reader here!

I absolutely adore you.
