Been up since 4.20am

...Trying to write a novel (for about twenty minutes), but actually writing fic. I seem to have lost the knack of sleep.

So. I'm sitting in the almost-dark, just the coloured lights from the Christmas tree. It's freezing - the heating doesn't come on till seven and lighting the fire will probably wake everyone, but I'm snug in...  ::counts:: four layers, including a padded flannel shirt and my brushed-cotton robe, drinking Japanese cherry tea, tapping away at the academy story. Mark is downloading so the internet is treacle-in-the-fridge slow; LJ is unusable, really, which is just as well, I guess; fewer distractions.

Hey ho, it's almost seven. Mark will be up soon. Better press on.

Gosh it's quiet out there. Where is everybody? Hope you all survived the holidays... (o

where is everybody? Well, I've been writing on the sequel to A Fair Distance and doing lj, I should have gone to bed, since it's 1:30am. You have a good morning and I'm going to bed. ::nods firmly::

The sequel to A Fair Distance? Did you finish AFD? Did I miss something? - not impossible since I've not been able to log on as much as I'd've liked over the holidays. ::Heads off to check out Laurie's LJ::

:smacks self upside the head:: I didn't mean to lead you on. Sorry. I've only got 12 chapters posted. I'm sending chapter 13 to t_verano today. I have finished the rough draft of AFD and now I'm writing the rough draft(finished 3 chapters) of the sequel, the second in this 'verse, called Ball and Chain. ( After the version Janis Joplin does, which sums up for me what Blair's been feeling). I did tie in my TS Secret Santa story(Lodestar) as a years before event that will get referenced in the later chapters. Lodestar is up on my lj and at TS Secret Santa.

:Gives big puppy eyes for forgiveness:: Can I claim brain drainage due to the late hour I wrote that?

Brrr! Sounds chilly. Here, ir's 9.25pm and a comfortable 28C - I'm wearing shorts and a singlet top, and the thought of your four layers is making me feel hot.

Brr! I'm glad you managed to stay warm, even though you did have to bundle up in layers.

I'm here, I survived. I've been working on a website for Garrison's Gorillas fic, and now have the urge to re-do my own website. I'm trying to resist.

wow, I almost can feel and see you and the atmosphere...Hope the sleep abilities will come back soon, still it's good to hear you are fic writing. Happy 4 layered cocoon and happy cherry tea to you.
