I just sat down with a massive G&T to find the awards up... 

I'm astonished by the generosity of those who voted for my stuff. I never expected to win anything. I was stunned, thrilled, bothered and bewildered to be nominated amidst so many brilliant names.

TS is a fandom so rich in talent; all the writers, the visual artists and everyone involved in keeping websites and archives, communities and lists running, not least of all the poor souls who land themselves with the job of  running the awards each year - Thanks to you all and the heartiest congratulations to all those who won or were nominated.

God bless us, every one.

Now back to The Boosh and the gin...

ETA: Can I offer special congratulations to Sheffield for (co)winning best short gen story with Shoes - I've loved this story for a long time; I think it's a masterpiece. I nommed it and voted for it and I'm thrilled to see it win

LOL, a gin and Boosh - wonder what that would be? Gin and Baileys maybe, which is kinda... nauseating. *G*

Thanks for the congrats - I am truly stunned, I really never expected to win at all against such competition. It's a nice way to end a hideous year.

I hope you're having a good New year's (and congrats yourself on the potentiality of new heating - always a very good thing)

Thanks so much, honey. I'm just stunned - it never occurred to me for a second that anyone would vote for my stories - TBH, I've never thought of my stuff as that popular, certainly not in the same league as some of the other winners. I'm still in shock.

Happy New Year to you, too. I've heard so many people say 2007 was a bad one - maybe 2008 will be happier for us all. ♥

I enjoyed Rainbows and Wind Whispering very much - they were two of the stories I read soon after getting into LJ. It's good to see that so many others thought highly of them as well. Happy New Year!

I so faltered in my LJ time for over a WEEK -- just nada, and I'm so sorry I didn't get back here much much sooner to lavish you with champagne and hugs and confetti and big beaming smiles. It was just perfect to see your awards; I know I'll be seeing tons more awards next year for your fics -- and the next year and the next and for as long as you keep writing TS (which you don't ever get to stop doing, BTW :-)) And sheesh -- sharing the New Gen Author with you and also with Snycock -- just... holy heck. Saying that I feel honored to be in your company is beyond an understatement. You were one of my TS guiding lights and greatest joys from the time I first found your fic and I just fizz with delight (and yes, disbelief, despite what you've said to me -- but it's a good kind of disbelief, okay?) to be sharing an award with Panik.

Sending you infinite and utterly deserved squee (my posting of it is -- awfully! -- belated, but I've been squeeing steadily for you for a week and a half now, despite not being here on LJ to do it right) and infinite bubbles, of the finest kind. And infinite squeezy (and squee-zy) hugs.
