...re the rejection - not my first (about the 300th actually *g*) and I doubt if it'll be the last. I'm just about to start printing off a fresh batch of submissions for three new agencies. I think I might start sending the road book out again too. I live in eternal hope... (o:

Weather's settled down a bit now; I took the dog for a walk across the moors late yesterday afternoon - that was some wild ride. Hope everyone still has a roof over their head.
location: Yorkshire
Mood:: 'tired' tired
Music:: The howling wind.

Fingers crossed for you!
(I thought you lived in Penistone. Eternal Hope is a much prettier name, anyway).

Eternal Hope, South Yorkshire... that is so... improbable. *g*

(Actually I live in Withnell, Lancashire - see icon - but I have to spend a lot of time with me Dad).

I'm sorry you got a rejection letter- That sucks. But I love your attitude-you're positive and that's wonderful.

I hope you don't mind being an object lesson-lol. Hubby knows I love to write, but I've never had the urge to write a book, but because I write he *harps* on me writing a book and making massive amounts of money (I roll my eyes). I tell him, yeah, right. After I spend a massive amount of money to send it to alot of publishers etc. and getting rejected. He told me I was being pessimistic (he's sweet in a retarded kind of way)and I told him I was realistic.

LOL. Has Hubby not heard the oft-told tales of JK Rowling, Stephen King et al? It is tough to get published, especially in the horrible world of genre-less lit-fic I write in, but please don't let it put you off trying! Send your ms out to some agents (not publishers - that really is a waste of time) and keep at it. Being brutally honest, it's a tough world, and the chances are against you but you have to try; if you don't have a go, it can't ever happen.

::sending more hugs and more strong booze::

Sheesh - I'm still mad at them for turning you down.

LOL, the booze is massively welcome honey, thanks so much. I'm disappointed but hardly surprised, rejection is practically my middle name. Save your teeth for your cheese. (o:

Pressing on... I think I've narrowed the ever-shortening list of agencies-I-haven't-approached-yet, down to 3 likely looking types. I'll probably start the next dull round of sending the thing out in hope on Monday. (o:

Thanks for the love. XXX

Ack - the soul-destroying boring bit. Good luck babe - you're going to win sooner or later. I've got everything crossed for the 'sooner' option *g*.

Thanks for the love.

Always yours babe *g*.

Maybe with the regime changing in Cuba your road book will garner a little more attention?...::she says, hopefully::

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! Let's hope that you find an agent who'll appreciate your book properly this time! ::hugs and sends good vibes::

I think my roof is okay. Not that I'd notice, being on the ground floor. But that howling wind was a bit of a shock. Sheesh! At least it's calmer now.

I hope this happens for you soon, but I'm sure it'll happen when the time is right. Keep your spirit up, hon!
