I didn't mean to imply that RTD had taken any notice of the already established 8 canon when giving oh-so cursory thought to the time war (that would be WAY too much to hope) so much as musing on what the ending of the *song* meant (the song he hears 'all the time'). I think, in retrospect, it meant more than a regen which was my initial response. The rest is just me navel gazing on how things are supposed to work for the single TimeLord in the post-Gallifrey universe - I don't think Rusty's given it much thought at all, alas.
