I just heard from my mate Maria who, I just found out, in addition to her full time job with Mundo Feliz (anyone travelling to Peru could do worse than look in on them. They're in Cusco and doing amazing work) is now doing an MA in Quechua and seven months pregnant.

And here am I, sitting around, moaning and groaning over a touch of writer's block.

::sigh::

I am pathetic.

I did manage 7,000 words of a plot-plan for m'novel today.

No. It's still pathetic. What am I doing with my life? Answer, not enough.

::sighs again::

Here's an ancient pic of the wonderful Maria.

ETA, Saturday: I had an email this morning from Peru - it's not my Maria who's pregnant and doing the MA but another Maria altogether. *g*

::hugs:: Your ruminations about the meaning of life are so in tune with mine, it is scary. We definitely have a hive mind ;-)

::much love:: ♥

Are you having a touch of the melancholy too? Maybe it's just post-flu blues but I have been feeling awfully down lately - a real touch of the 'what am I doing with my life-ness'.

But you're doing alright, you have 2 wonderful kids, a job where you're valued, your music, friends. You have a life hon, be happy and proud.

Me? I'm cooking soup and watching Russell Brand on Paul O' Grady. Could be worse, I suppose ::bites nails pensively::

Eh, it's probably a combination of the inevitable come down from the brilliant fangirl week, and the hellish flu week that followed (on the mend now, but utterly knackered). Plus, the kids have gone off to their dad's today, hence the fact I now feel just drained and empty... ::sigh::

'Twill be reet once things get back to normal.

I am watching Russell on P O'G too! I loves Russell ::has a big ol' horny crush:: :-D

LOL! It amuses me greatly that we fancy the same blokes ;-)

I like clever, cheeky fellows. Probably why I like Garett ;-)

Oh honeypie - you've been sick sick sick. Things will be loads better soon. If not - I'll be round to start biting people for you ::sharpens molars::

::hugs and smooches::

Bow that would cheer me up no end.

::sigh:: I do feel like my life has gone down the toilet, but the smooches help. ::flutters hopeful eyelashes at Snail::

I do feel like my life has gone down the toilet

Ah babe - it's that time of year, you know? The one of mellow fruitfulness, mists, and the distant sound of flushing loos... personally I only have to get a whiff of fallen leaves to get all melancholy.

You've had such a hard year - plus working like a crazy thing... no wonder you're down. If I were closer, I'd be round with wine and cheesecake, but as it is, big sloppy internet kisses will have to do.

::lays one on you::

You are too good for this world. Anyone who offers to bring cheesecake, no matter how virtual, is a saint of rare proportions. ::nods::

::thinks:: I'm not sure if that makes sense but hey ho the nonny.

*sigh* Sometimes over-achiever friends (and siblings) can really make one feel inadequate.

Nevertheless, you are NOT pathetic. You've brought friendship, laughs and great stories into my life and I think that all three of those are a wonderful achievement!

::hugs::

These are the kind of thoughts that have just led me to apply for a job with a non-profit. I'm not all that proud at the moment to tell people what I do.
