Big, fat flakes that are staying put on the frosty ground.

OK, it's lost its novelty value now. I'm officially bored.

1st snow in October since 1934 apparently. It's gone now, all melted, just nasty, wet and cold out there.

I let Mark put the bins out. I feel it will strengthen his character.

Can we have summer yet?

Yes you can. All you have to do is hop on a plane. I've got plenty of room. :o)

We haven't had a chance to enjoy Autumn yet. let alone what's shaping up for a loverly frosty, snowy winter - and you want to run straight for summer? Get away wi ye, nesh lassie!

Oh the temptation! And winter hasn't really started yet - but then neither has summer ::taps foot impatiently:: It's blooming cold out there today - real woolly socks and curry weather. Brrrrr.

I broke out the porridge and golden syrup for breakfast this morning. It seemed somehow, appropriate.

Mmmm - yum.

The guy who works next door to us (and is quite prim in most respects) suddenly confessed this week to pouring "a wee drop of whiskey on m'porridge of a morning"... sounds perfectly reasonable to me *g*

for your giftie, honey. You're the sweetest snail and I shall put beer and bread out in a saucer for you this evening. Otoh, you're an unusually sophisticated gastropod, perhaps olives and wine and a slice of well-aged Pie d'Anglois would be more appropriate? :o)

Sending you some Friday hugs.

Big hugs babe - I hate to think of you unhappy, but words can never put some things right. Just thinking of you tonight, ok?

::more hugs::

I am so surprised you guys are getting snow .... although over here, eastern Ontario and parts of Quebec got 20 centimetres yesterday. I'm just so used to us having snow before anyone else.

It's not normal, but I'm not really complaining. Better than the endlessly wet, warm yuk-weather we've been having for the past few years. So depressing.

What? No, it's too early for snow! ::goes back to bed:: Wake me when it's spring.

And I mean spring as in "warmer" not spring as in "well, the calendar says March but it's snowing out there".

First time it's snowed in England in October since 1934 apparently. I'm hoping for a good, cold winter for a change. These dreary warm, wet so-called winters we've been having are too depressing.

About 3:00 had this really huge black cloud heading our way from the north. Got the horse in, put my birds in and battened down ready for the bad weather. But once again it slipped past , it really didn't even wet the path. Still very cold though..

It's nippy today but back to its usual damp greyness. I'm dying for a clear, frosty autumn day.

Deserve a medal, you do, for living in that climate. Couldn't stand it myself - rather be hot than cold any day.
Snow is pretty, though, I'll grant that.

Me, I'm the exact opposite. I can't stand the heat. Give me a clear, frosty day anyday. :o)

Lucky we each live where we live, then! It's 11.53pm and 20 degrees right now, heading for an expected top of 33 tomorrow.
