No real reason why. It's been a gorgeous day with brilliant blue skies, mystical mists and heavy frost so I went for a walk. Penistone was heaving with a cheerful, Christmassy air. I've cleaned and done laundry and all that sort of thing, written 2,000 words of Blue, done a bit of work on character backstories for Entanglement.

So, dinner's in't' oven, I have a glass of hearty red and a small bowl of pre-dinner olives and am having a quiet read - The Infinity Race, a most pleasing (they aren't all, far from it) Doctor Who novel and...

Why am I telling you all this? No reason at all, really.

I hope everyone's having a delicious, delightful day. Beaming merry love vibes to you all this icy Saturday.

Oh, it sounds lovely!
I may need to resurrect my fireplace icon ;)

And how does one pronounce Penistone, anyway? Besides very carefully...

Penny-ston. Alas, not as exciting as you might think, it means 'town on the head, or high place' in th' olde language of these parts. I don't know if the 2 words have the same derivation (though it seems quite likely). *G*

'Deed it was. My favourite weather.

I don;t really have a proper wintry icon so one shamelessly promoting an old fic what I wrote will have to do. :o)

Unreasonable cheerfulness is not to be discourarged, so what ho m'dear! sounds like a lovely day all round. The skies here are brilliant blue as well, but no mystical mists...more's the pity. *smooch*

Well in the middle of summer, I should hope not. :o)

I hope you're feeling unreasonably cheerful too, m'lovely.

ahhhh...but I'm not in the middle of summer. :) I live in Upper MidWest of the United States. 'tis winter here, me darlin'. But, even so, we're not prone to mystical mists in my neck of the woods.

Ah. heh. ::snerk:: I was talking to Jess Riley in the same breath and got confused. You're usually colder and frostier and all around lovely this time of the year, though, aren't you? Or not. Mayhap I am merely addled.

This weather was normal for us but the last 10 years have been awful; warm and grey and almost continuously wet. Hence my jolity. ::is polishing up the olde red sledge in anticipation::

Yikes, it's cold today though! I should take pix. I need an icon...

we're in for a hard winter this year, it's certainly shaping up that way. I must say, I can't wait. I wants snow too, I so do!

I'm sorry you have grey gunk, m'deario. We had grey-gunk yesterday so maybe you'll get frost and mists tomorrow? Keeping all extremities crossed for you.

What are Blue and Entanglement about? Are they original fiction, or fanfic?

Thanks for the merry love vibes...

K-w ( from not-ever-icy southern California!)

Blue be a TS fic, a wip of epic proportions. Entanglement's be a new novel, still in the planning stages but coming on well thankee kindly fer asking.

Why am I talking like a pirate? It be a mystery deed it be.

Lawks a lawdy, I'm in a strange mood tonight. *g*
