I keep hearing things about that show and thinking I should give it a try.

Can I ask who said this to who?

You should, you really should! It is so very good, just in general - the quality of the writing, the performances - leaving aside the relationship - the deeply (sometimes disturbingly so) slashy subtext between Alan (James Spader) and Denny (Bill Shatner) - which is far and away the best thing in the show, imo.

I am at this very moment (at 12:30am!) watching as many YouTube clips as I can lay my fingers on!

The Alzheimer's storyline is very moving. :(

'Man that I love' I think was Denny to Alan then Alan to Denny. *g* Can't remember who mentioned the shark but they're very fond of breaking the wall on BL.

Irritatingly, I ditched my BL icon some time ago.

I just found a nice article about the finale here.

Thanks — seeing your post earlier has led directly to a very happy fannish evening checking out a new-to-me show!

My work here is done. :o)

Check out the Jerry Espenson character, he's one of the very best things in it. The eppy when he sang the opening credits was a highlight.
