The cleaning is all done (finally!) The house sparkles. The last minute shopping my sister sprung on me was all done by 9.20 this morning - most of the pressies are wrapped and ready, just a couple more things to do and some cards to write and it's all done. I'm just having a last glimpse at LJ before settling myself down in front of Scrooge with a giant glass of Bombay Sapphire and tonic and knocking off for the duration, so I'll say...
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
Whether you celebrate or not, I hope you all have perfect, peaceful, glorious days in whichever way pleases you best.
Much love to you all. XXX

Dear Lord Above, this is a dreadful colourised version of Scrooge they've put on. Quite making me ill it is.

And to you too, honey!

Merry Christmas to you, too and all the very best in the coming year.
We'll be watching Alistair Sim's version tonight! It's a tradition. *g*
Hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow!

Of course, we have the original on DVD and could quite easily have watched that instead so we've no one to blame but ourselves.
I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and a remarkable (in a good way) New Year!

Oh yeah. The colourised version always looks a bit bizarre. I don't know how they chose those colours, either. *shudder*
It was on CBC last night (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation), but they are notorious for having a gazillion ads (an 88 minute movie lasting two hours), so we watched our version on tape. I have ordered the DVD of a restored version, so I'm hoping the sound will be better when we watch it next year. =>}
I hope you're having a lovely Christmas Day and I wish you all the very best in the year to come!
