LOL - nope - NO slash there at all... and the wigs... I love the wigs. What were they thinking? That no one would notice? ::falls over giggling::

Happy Boxing Day!

Michael Gambon's wig is a thing of beauty, isn't it? Actually that ep is full of the most tremendous angst and made me cry. Most unusual. :o)

I still need an icon. I'm waiting till I've watched a few more to get the best caps because - Arthur and Kai! You are so very pretty together and Llud, yea verily, thou art an Iron Age Simon Banks. So full of courage and decency, wisdom and mercy. ::sigh::

And the - admittedly, memorable and utterly fabulous score- is by Elmer Bernstein. Elmer bloody Bernstein! How in the heck did HTV wangle that?! Incredible.

Wow! What's it? Is it about King Arthur?

A brave first attempt to do a realistic Arthur as a 6th century British chieftain. It was a kids show, would you believe, from the early 70's. I adored it. The slash and teh sex were very apparent to me and most girls, really, even at the tender age of 12. It just came out on DVD and my sister got it for me for Christmas. My world is full of Arthur and Kai - his best bud - squee right now. *g*

It had Brian Blessed in it too. *g*

My second essay of module 2 is iron age. I could save myself a load of reading and just watch this instead! Do you think I'll get a good mark?
*G*

Nup, no slash. Not a skerick. *uncrosses fingers behind back*
Do you know, I was an adult when I first saw this series in 1988 and I never twigged that it was meant to be a children's show.

Oh yeah, it was on at 5pm in the afternoon (ITV, Wednesdays. *g*). Kids TV was way better in my day (IM oh do HO). I was 12 - 13 when I first saw it. For one glorious year, it was my whole world. :o)

I'm still watching it now. I'm about to watch The Prize (21st Feb 1973) which I had on reel-to-reel tape for ages. I'm dying to fit the pictures to the audio-memory.

I've just placed my order with amazon.co.uk. And now to wait....
Did you make the recording yourself? And then kept it all these years? Now THAT's a fan!

Well, I had it on reel to reel 36 years ago. I expect I still do, if I can find the machine and the tape. I haven't clapped eyes on it since about 1974. It's probably still in the loft somewhere - Dad's not one for throwing stuff away. I had just the one episode on tape. I played it to death though and I did remember huge chunks of dialogue and there's this fabulous, hearbreaking piece of orchestral music in the middle. ::sigh:: I've come over all nostalgic and tearful.

I've just placed my order with amazon.co.uk.
Yay! I can't wait to start sharing the squee!

OMG that looks so worth watching! If only for the wigs. And the slash. And that expression on Tom Baker's face.

LOL. What an appropriate icon you have there. Tom plays a pair of bad-ass twins - and if I've made a convert to AotB then I am glad for it is a joy and a wonder.

Opening credits!
