How unimaginative and... cowardly.

I mean, give the guy a chance and all that, maybe he'll be amazing and I really hope he will but...

Shit.

This is exactly encapsulates everything I've been anticipating/dreading about the Moff series. The combo of this guy and Moff's marriage n' gurls n 'that obsession bodes very ill for me indeed.

Hey ho. As I've said more than once already today, maybe this really is the universe's way of telling me to grow up and get me a life already.

Ah. Fuck.

I'm pretty good with eye candy, but can the guy act? I haven't seen him in anything before. And really, as sad and "not moving on" as it is of me, I'm a Ninth Doctor groupie, so that's kind of where my heart's at.

I've lived through 10 Doctors and 10 was a long way from being my favourite but I have very little faith in this guy.

I really started with Nine, but I have a friend who has been feeding me older episodes (he's a complete Who encyclopaedia) and I'm learning the history, slowly but surely.

I dunno about Matt Smith so much as I worry about the writing. I ran into something similar with Angel--Joss skipped out for a year and we got the worst series ever, even though all the actors rose to the challenge, the writing was rubbish. I guess I'll have to look more into what the new writers have done.

but I remain carefully optimistic...

I've read your entry about the bookies; so they were right! I thought that was fun. Then again, we don't have bookies here - that is, not legal ones, anyway :-) - so it's quite 'exotic' to me :-p

The new guy looks like a kind of half-formed David Tennant foetus. Hardly even qualifies as a regeneration at all really. I was hoping for someone completely left-field.
