Before I have to commence with the rough stuff; you know, walking into town for last minute stuff, making my Christmas card to my family, defrosting pastry for veggie sausage rolls, ringing the bloody Corgi man because the central heating's broken down, on the weekend, TWO BLOODY DAYS BEFORE *** CHRISTMAS!!!!

Mike, the luverly plumber, came, poked about in the kitchen, the cloakroom and the loft and has vindicated my initial diagnosis of a non-functioning pump. The bad news is, the heating is definitively off for the evening. The good news is, that Mike, bless his cotton socks - which I hope are soft, warm and snuggly  - is coming back tomorrow to fit a new pump. Toes will be warm for Christmas. I'd give you a 'Yay!', but I really am AWFULLY tired.
