Jonathan Ross is back tonight!

Thank all the Gods and sing hosanna! I guess my hoping he'd have Russy Brand as his first guest was possibly aiming a little high as hopes go ::she winked cheekily:: but nevertheless, Stephen Fry is on and this alone is most excellent news.

I have not only met my daily quota on my most mighty and epic fic Blue but yea an' verily, have exceeded it, so, assuming I can make it all make sense by tomorrow (because the characters will insist on doing their own thing and fiddling with my carefully planned plot) I will be able to post a day early. This too, is Good.

The novel's coming on. I'm just about keeping up with the 2,000 word a day target - it too, has taken some odd turns with the result I've given up, for now, trying to Keep To The Plan and am just writing chapters on an individual basis and seeing where that goes with the intention of meshing it all together at a later date and hoping I can accommodate the newness in a more elastic structure. Or something. I finally managed to get the chapter about the ghostly frothy-coffee bar and the Lambretta written, so I was well pleased. :o)

Other than that, life has been pretty much as always - with the added excitement of newly acquired televisual entertainments in the form of Mr Rob Brydon's most excellent Annually Retentive and lots and lots of Vic and Bob.

But now it's time to lay down our workmanlike keyboards, hoist our mainbraces and shout OOOARRRrrrrrr! For It be FRIDAY! me hearties! Last one to the gin's a scurvy dog!

Couldn't agree more. There is altogether not enough Stephen Fry. Not even on a night when QI is on as well as Mr Fry guesting on Jonathan Ross.

Stephen, Stephen, Stephen Fry! So good, we get him twice. My joy could not be mightier. Well, yes, it could I suppose, but it is turned up pretty loud anyway.

And the News Quiz is on in a bit for it be FRIDAY and the squee, she is mighty. Have a good one, chucky!

FRIDAY!

Nope - you'll get no sense out of me now - Wossy is back, there is wine in my glass, the men with the pole have wandered back to wherever they came from - all is right with my tiny world.

And Yay! for writing so much... my goodness woman, the keyboard must be fair steaming.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - have a fabulous weekend! ::beams::

the keyboard must be fair steaming.

LOL. [livejournal.com profile] alibongo did compare my shagged left clicky-key to an ancient step, all worn and sunken. Writing so much? ::sigh:: I wish I were doing more writing but it's as much as I can manage in the current circs. That stranger self-discipline is becoming a good friend, but it won't last. *G*

Jonathan Ross, Stephen Fry (not once but twice!) Ring out the bells for the joy be mighty. ::raises newly primed glass with gleeful smile::

You will let us know, won't you, if you ever find out what the men were doing with the pole? ::screws eyes and tries desperately to banish naughty thoughts::

Love Stephen Fry! That should be excellent. ::snags gin bottle::

Heh, I met Stephen Fry when he was the Rector of Dundee University, and I was the Exams Officer there. Made him laugh out loud I did, which I regard as one of my life's accomplishment's. It was at our graduation ceremony, just after his mad depressive escape to France when he kinda lost it for a while, and was his first public appearance after cooming out of hiding. I got to see the paparazzi in action first hand, plus Mr. Fry's alarmingly bleached-blond hair up close!

Shortly thereafter SF was re-elected as Rector for a second term (he was hugely popular with our students - and staff!), and gave us an awesome speech during his Rectorial Installation (try saying that after a few G&Ts!), during which he described Hugh Grant (who had recently been discovered in a rather embarrassing position with an American prostitute) as 'Huge Grunt'. Ah, good times, good times :-)

::Has Wossy on Radio! Life is good::

Go you for keeping up with your novel word count. Yay!

And triple YAY for the posting of BLUE! a day early! I can't WAIT!!! *vbg*

(I just finished me gin and tonic, with a little added orange juice and three maraschino cherries (cause J. knows I love them and he spoils me). Mmm. )

Blue a day early

Maybe. Maybe. If I can force myself off my arse and do something. I have shopping to do and a house to clean first.

I haven't checked out my flist yet, but there's absolutely no pressure from me, ever! I can be patient. Sort of. *g*

Good luck with all that distracting RL stuff. =>}
