Ooh, that's good!

A vanilla latte; fired up the Trevisso for a double expresso with Lavazza coffee, steamed milk with a drop of Madagascan vanilla paste. Orgasmically good. I have almond halva too. I be bad.

I've been toiling on the north face of my novel all day - well, for the last five hours anyway. Thought I'd pause for a coffee and a word check that tells me I have produced 1,282 words today. How can this be?!?! ::looks under lappy for lost wordage:: There have to be at least 5,000 words here, shurely?!

Bugger.

Mmmmm - halva!

I know what you mean about the wordage - I was editing something yesterday and came up with less words than I started with - a LOT less. Ooops. Can we have an early Friday this week please?

You lost words too?

O:! Where are they all going? To live on Planet Biro with the socks?!

I came back from my walk with some nice visual ideas. I find Dance Macabre very conducive to writing this book. ::nods:: Anyway, I ended up with 1750 words which is poor but not disastrous. Oy.

They weren't even my words wot I lost ::hangs head in shame::

I'm trying to sell it to the boss man by telling him less words = less bits of paper = smaller print bill. Um *g*

I find Dance Macabre very conducive to writing this book.

Whooohooo! I love your motivation ::beams::

Isn't it fabulous? It really gets in your head. I love Alan Davies' story of strolling down the street whistling then realising the song in his head was Danse Macabre and he'd just strolled around London whistling the theme to his own TV show. Which was embarrassing... ::chortle::

switching topics...

Ooooo, almond halva! Where do you get it?! (It can probably be found in Nashville, but so much more fun to travel a little farther and pick some up in England!)

I'll be near your neighbourhood on the morning of Monday, 1 June - could we meet for brekkie and/or coffee, uh, someplace? I'll need to stay near Lancaster rail station before going on to York, but if you and Bev could manage it, we'll be three little fangirls together. I would just love that!

meep. June 1st is my partner's birthday - I'm sure we can sort something out.

We'll try and sort something out for a proper meet up. Lancaster is where Bev lives, I'll have to travel up there, you see and Bev's got a terrible work-load right now.

Is there any chance you could post your itinerary on your own LJ, that way Bev and I can both have a look and try to work something that will fit for all of us because we can't possibly miss a meeting can we?

oh, the almond halva is available all over the place really. I got mine in Lidl but Tescos - everywhere - sell various brands I think. I'll try and get some for you befpre we meet.

Oooohh, nooooo!

::bravely:: Well, of course happy birthday to your partner, and yes, I know Bev is up to her, uh, hmmmm with work. On my way now to follow your suggestion.

Hopefully your wordage will have reproduced itself a couple of times by the next time you look! =>}
