LOL...you should try being me.

I work for a TV station that airs Wimbledon. For two weeks we do not have a noon newscast because of this thing that NO ONE watches.

I shudder to think how much money we loose every year on commercials we cannot air.

Well the BBC show Wimbledon here so there are no ads but - if no one likes it, why do they show it? Do your sports-nuts not like teh tennis then? It's insanely popular in the UK. Me? I just abhor all sports tbh. Footy I can stand for short periods but the rest... ::see my bored and angry face::

I have no problem with sport when it doesn't get in the way but Wimbledon, like snooker, seems to dominate ALL for the time it's on and everything has to make way for it. It's a huge, bruising, bullying, tank-like event for which have no tolerance, none at all!!!

Tennis is probably one of the least popular sports in the US. It's more of a novelty than something a lot of people follow, so I don't get why we have to run it during the week. Weekends sure, but weekday afternoons?
