I know I'm not around much these days

Don't worry, this is not one of those long, angsty RL-SUKZ! type entries, just something of an apology I suppose, a rather low-key (and somewhat dull) FRIDAY! post if you will.

RL doesn't suck exactly, it's just mentalist-busy, ergo I never have much to post about, tbh. My online life, such as it is, is much like my RL right now, mostly about finishing things and drawing lines and that's no fun to talk about. Must have something to do with that wild and crazy neptune-chiron-jupiter conjunction sitting right on top of me MC/Chiron conjunction, opposite me natal uranus! . ::laffs like drain, wipes eyes, chuckles to self for hours:: Ah, astrology, you nutter. What am I to make of you!

Blue is finished now, beta'd and posted which is a great weight off I must say. I need to set up a new website and get my stuff on to ASR3 but that must wait a while till the crazy settles a little. I was reminded in an email about the LMFAs. I should think about nominating, I never seem to have the time, but I must make time for there is much to be nommed. I may not be the greatest feedbacker in the world but I always nom, it's important.

Decimated, the story I'm writing with [livejournal.com profile] fluterbev is ongoing (and delicious, trust me, this is the good stuff *G* It makes me giggle in evil glee anyway and that's usually a good sign) keeps stalling because we're both so busy. I'm trying to get a routine/rhythm going to speed my progress on that a little.

The novel, Entanglement  - was going well. I'm on the second draft, mosty rewrites, hit a snaggy but of plot but sorted it, have three new chapters written and all the new ones I'll need for the first half of the book plotted, but it's also fallen under the wheels of TIME (which is kinda ironic given that the theme of the thing is the notion that time does not really exist) and I've not touched it since Monday, which is pisspoor of me I know but there it is. I've shifted the day-to-day updates on this to my blog now so's not to annoy and confuse.

The Fannish Me, is non-existent, sadly. All my fannish toys have been put away in their box. In part it's because my fannish mind is playing second fiddle to the novel, which is absorbing my creative juice like a massive, fusion-powered sponge of Ultimate Power and also because, TS aside, which is a constant, the shiny backdrop to my inner-life, there's nothing new going on that holds the slightest whiff of delight for me. No point in anyone making suggestions either, people, I've tried them all and they all leave me colder than a three days dead Arctic cod. Maybe something will eventually come by to tickle my tired old fancy but right now, there's not so much as a skool sossage of a flicker on my fandar, which leaves me with little to discuss with you all. I'm doing a lot of lurking right now.

Maybe these are signs that I finally found a LIFE? If so, they can keep it for I be not interested.

Those still concerned about the TS downloads, they're are all with Tehomet now btw. I haven't heard from her in a while so I can't update you on when they'll beome available..

I'm remiss in the extreme in my contributions to [livejournal.com profile] picspamyou_2009  and worst of all, my long absences from LJ mean I've missed talking to you lovely people. I've missed a fair few birthdays too for which I'm very sorry, most especially that darling delight of a human Earthling  [livejournal.com profile] the4ts . I hope your day was perfection, sugarbutton. I'm sorry I took my eye off the ball and missed you completely. Please have some very belated kisses in the flavour of your choosing. XXXXXXX

there's nothing that grabs me either

Hopeless, isn't it? I've been actively surfing too, I miss the fannish squee but the things that get everyone else all fired up have done less than nothing for me. I was terribly excited by the prospect of Criminal Minds so I watched a couple but - nah (tis pants, sadly). There are plenty of things I like but nothing that has that extra seasoning of fannish excitement.

Hey nonny no, I expect something will turn up eventually.

Sunday now (gosh, what happened?), the weather's cooled (thank goodness) and I'm off to visit with an old friend from my previous fandom - just for the day. A day off, how did that happen? *g*

Enjoy your Sunday. ♥

Hopeless it is.
SG1 - lost me after the arrival of the Ori. If you have an undefeatable enemy, what is the point?
SGA - nope, blue guys do nothing for me.
Numbers - just how many times can maths get you out of a pickle? (and poor man's Blair)
Criminal Minds - is okay if there really is NOTHING else on, but then a book calls
Law and Order - okay, but after millions of series, pretty much seen it all
Law and Order:Criminal Intent - love this, the thinking person's police programme, but lots of repeats and not enough new ones with not enough Goren after he went down to half of the episodes per series and seem to have reined in the character
Without A Trace and Cold Case - okay, but the characters don't grab me
Ghost Whisperer - much of a muchness
Is there anything else?
And nothing around that is remotely fannish inspiring.

And another boring weekend over this way.
I hope you have a good time with your friend and enjoy your day off.
Happy Sunday!
