ah, you're a poppet - I was listening to part of this in the car this morning, on the way to a really sh***y meeting ("poop? meet fan"), so I was only half-listening, and then I had to stop listening and go do the poop-shovelling thing, so totally missed what it was and where I could find the rest. Hmmm - did that make any sense? Ah well, 'tis indeed a lovely day to be alive... I have sunshine, sparrows, a million butterflies and somebody else cooking supper :beams and blows summery kisses::

I'd only caught the last 5 minutes, quite forgotten it was on, so I caught it on listen again, a fine and highly civilised invention, to be sure. :o)

Sorry about the meeting (did the poop get you or were you able to duck?) enjoy the sparrows and indeed, butterflies. We have a terrible paucity this year, a scattering of red admirals, peacocks and tortoiseshells on the Buddleia and the very occasional meadow brown in the fields. Very sad.

Ack, the meeting was just one of those unfortunate things in life... I have a terrible tendency to plant my feet and be brutally honest... gee, and that goes down so well *hg*

We had almost no butterflies at all until last week, and then suddenly - thousands! I've never seen so many in our garden. Every buddleia flower has three or more butterflies on it - and we have six or seven big bushes... maybe yours will show up soon too.
