So, it's 3am and we're running every hot tap in the house...

Oh yes indeedy, damn stove played the same damn trick on us the old one would occasionally and, though thoroughly damped down as low as it damn well goes, churned out so much hot water the tanks boiled and the pump started screaming like a prize sow in labour. Only one option when that happens and that's to get up and drain off the hot water - scaldingly hot it was too, almost boiling. Made me weep to throw it away rather than magic it into a soothing bath but it was 3am, you know?

Never really got back to sleep.

Shattered.

Damn.

You're going to be so snuggy warm...

Oh yeah, if the current unbearable tropic clime in this house is anything to go by. It's baked lovely bread (Mark's put a fresh batch in) and a most goodly moussaka. ::nods:: It can lay off the hot water though for verily, we hath a more than goodly amount.

Why do water emergencies always happen in the middle of the night?
The same vengeful god that makes sure boilers only fail on Christmas Eve and pipes always burst when you're away. I wish I could work out how to appease them. Any ideas?

Ack, no, I wish I had... a water spirit has haunted my family for years now, and I've yet to figure a way to bribe it/him/her/whatever. I talk to it sweetly, and try never to cuss out loud at jammed stop cocks and such like. I'm sure a fit of temper would only encourage it *g*

So - you'll be starting a new sauna business soon then?
