Easter Monday

Bank Holidays with added chocolate, how can this be improved upon? Answer, it can't, unless we're talking Christmas when there's the added bonus of tinsel and pressies. ::she nodded wisely::

I appear to have done nothing today that doesn't involve the internet and/or eating something of low nutritional value. Later there's some fine telly with a thing about Van Gogh, QI and Extras/Channel 4's Comedy Gala, I believe there are still some hot cross buns in the kitchen and, in short, it's Veg City here today, which is Good.

Have some Easter kisses my babies, they're dressed as bunnies and bring gifts of chocolate-coated luuurve. XXX

Do you mean that you guys don't have to work today? I feel cheated. (of course, I've been off work for a week, but that was two days of sick time, Good Friday, and two days of flex time. And I was mildly sick that whole time.

I don't want to go to work today. Can I borrow your bank holiday and skip out?

Laurie

You don't get a holiday for Easter?! It's an outrage I tell you, an outrage!

I too have been idle all day - unless watching lambs counts as productive *g*

Happy chocolate-covered Monday!

I dunno how often we went back to school on Easter Monday... it happened every time Easter was late. OTOH, when Easter was early... I remember visiting friends in England one year in around 1976, early April, and being asked "How come you're on holiday?" I replied "Easter holiday." "But Easter was ten days ago..." "Yes..." Then I explained. Dundee schools' Easter holiday was always the first two weeks of April. If Easter was early the non-denominational schools got Good Friday as well, but the Catholic schools didn't, to make sure the kids went to Mass.
