...disconnected and bereft. I never get to come here much any more. I'm just busy, but I miss the online life so much. I have a lot of projects on the go; I'm trying to set up an online permaculture business that's taking up a lot of time; plus licking our house into shape so we can get it on the market, plus trying to write a book, then what little spare time I've had is all taken up lately with doing reports, galleries and a DVD for Richard's Golf thingy. I'm also musing (again) on trying to finish my PhD, which I abandoned back in '96 when I realised I was never going to have enough money to complete all the research. It's not a practical proposition the way my life is at the moment, but I've been looking at ways I might get the ball rolling again when my life settles down a wee bit.
I'm off over to
alibongo's again this weekend, for an impromptu Alias Smith and Jones get-together - then staying at my mum's for the rest of the week where I'm hoping to get some actual writing done (stop sniggering at the back!) I might finally get to do some solid work on my book (as opposed to twenty minutes snatched here and there) and get those two Moonridge fics back underway after a long time languishing. I'm really looking forward to it.
In the meantime, to cheer myself up, here's a happy pic from a great weekend.

I miss you too! I'll have a lot more time to indulge in LJ next week when I'm at my mum and dad's place and there's no building and decorating screaming to be done.
I swear, it's going to take me a week to get the plaster and cement out of my hair. )o:

(could you possibly say who the three of you are? Cause I save pics of online friends and I want to label it correctly. If that's okay?)

It's not the most flattering pic of any of us. We'd all been tramping up and down a mountain for 5 hours; it was very hot, we all got sunburned and the bright light of day does nothing for the wrinkles. But... it's Richard! and I'm thinking, who's going to be looking at me, anyway? ::G::

I wouldn't miss HEARING about your weekend for anything, either. Thanks so much again for sharing it all with us. =>}

I'm trying hard to get Monday's galleries and report up asap. In fact, I just made the considered decision not to work out, but simply shower and get on with Monday's galleries instead (o: I might get some video downloads up, too. TBH, I STILL haven't watched all the TV coverage myself yet (yup, I've been THAT busy! ::G::)

Looking forward to all of that! =>}

Great photo - nice to put faces to names always - well not RB obviously, you know what I mean. *g*
RL sounds a wee bit on the hectic side! Hope you get some down time to yourself in the near future... we miss you *HG*

Unfortunately, he was WAY too heavy for us to carry off, otherwise, obviously... ::G::
Sigh... I am pretty tired. I have no right to be, I know. I mean, people who juggled 17 children with 12 hour shifts down the pit, now THEY have a right to be tired. ::roll:: The main problem is too many irons in the fire - I can't really relax because there's always something that needs my attention. I'm looking forward to the week off, I must say.
Hmmm... I now have the image of a soot black man with a Davy lamp juggling 17 children. Is this what killed variety? I ask myself...

LOL - see now, I'd pay good money to see a show like that... yes I would!

Having said which, I'm watching the Monday golf coverage, right now. ::G::

I hope your Real Life calms down soon. I hate it when RL becaomes so busy that you can't seem to stop and catch your breath. ::hugs::

Me too! Tis a pain. I'm SERIOUSLY tired today and had planned for a nice quiet day; just me and a sofa and my laptop. Forgot about my acupuncture appointment, which led to Bolton's roadworks and subsequent issues with traffic; then the drains blocked (again) and we had to get dynorod in (again). And the washing machine broke down - again.
Such joy.
::giggles, but with a slightly unnerving hysterical edge::
How about yourself? Have you heard back from the doc yet (or is this old news I've missed)?

::hugs Gilly tightly and sends good vibes her way::
As for me, I'm seeing the neurologist on Thursday to discuss the results. I still don't know what the results say - I'll find out on Thursday. I'm worried, nervous and rather jittery about it all.
Too cool for subject
I'll bet. All the best with that, lovekin. Sending the bestest, prettiest, most delicious vibes your way for Thursday.

We passed The Belfry on the way down to see Richard; we gave it a squee ::G::
(Gilly, getting all excited again, starts to bounce slightly in anticipation).

Still it's all projects you have real interest in so even though it's hectic, you're sure to do well. ((hugs))
It's nice to have you back here though :)

Aw shucks, hon - it's nice to BE back! For now, anyway.

Hope RL mellows out a bit for you.

Ooh my. You think?! I'd say that boot's firmly on the other 3 feet myself! ::G::
Glad to see your own meeting might finally be going to happen at last(?) (o:

I totally get being behind on lj. This is my first venture in weeks and I'm madly trying to catch up.
btw, I adore Alias Smith and Jones. Pete Duel was my first tv love.

ASJ rules!
Aw, us too! The three of us actually met online at: http://www.peteduelclub.com/
A whole gang of us from that site still get together twice a year, for a weekend, in a cabin in the woods - though our mutual TS obsession is starting to bug the others a little ... ::G::
Re: ASJ rules!
Have you found much good KC/HH slash? I've only found a bit.
~V~
Re: ASJ rules!
There's a fair bit out there, but I'm not sure where. Aston Press has some;
http://asjfans.ashtonpress.net/adultfic.htm
Peja's list used to have a fair bit of ASJ slash, too.
http://internetdump.com/users/daltonavon/PEJA.html
And I think Tenaya has a couple;
http://www.devinemadness.com/tenaya/asj.html
I've written ASJ fic, but all gen, I'm afraid - sorry!! ::hangs head in shame::
Re: ASJ rules!
But childhood heroes getting it on
I get that, I really do. On the other hand, the only reason I haven't written a "Master Mike" series (yeah, the Monkees) is because Mellison (rentgirl one) has insisted. (hangs head in shame) I'm a bad, bad slasher girl.

Re: ASJ rules!
Heh heh heh. Yeah. Long may it continue... ::VBG::
Urm; oh gosh golly. No one's asked to see my ASJ fic in ages! There's no direct link, alas, you have to go through the website:
http://www.peteduelclub.com/
Scroll down at the left till you find fan fiction; I'm one half of Chickwalker (first link on the list).
You'll probably want to skip the 1st two which are fluffy in the extreme. Columbine is vicious (it has a warning and everything! LOL. Linda's site is strictly PG13) - all hurt and no comfort! The rest are... well, ASJ fic, you know? (o:
