A new WIP

[profile] alibongo and I have been working together on a new TS fic, a Roman AU, set just after the 3rd Punic war and the fall of Carthage.

It's a WIP, and far from finished, but we'd appreciate any constructive comment/criticism.

Hopefully ,the historical content should be spot on as Ali's a professional archaeologist and Romanist. (o: but this is our first collaboration, and our first slash story - nothing too heavy yet (and nothing slashy at all in this first bit). The style's quite different from our usual, but we've written Jim and Blair speaking in more or less their usual modern English (with a bit of 2ndC BC tweaking), because Blair and Geminius would be speaking modern Latin to each other and, unless we actually write it in 145BC Latin - or Greek (they speak both), it's not going to be 'authentic', anyway.

Anyone on my flist should be able to see it, but you have to join to post. It has its own community which you can find, here -
OUR ROMAN AU

This sounds very cool indeed! I always DID love Ancient History and I even studied Greek and Latin in High School, not that I remember much. =>}

Can't wait! =>}

REALLY looking forward to this - I studied mediterranean history for a couple of years, and I love the subject. (Love TS AUs very much as well! *G*)

I'll be leaving in a few hours, so see you tomorrow :)

Aside from my long ago latin lessons at school I haven't a clue about ancient roman history, but I'd *so* like to see how you adapt TS to that. And of course I'd like to get the chance to comment. Maybe something comes off even my ramblings ;-)

Togas! Yum!

I'm so shallow *g*

I'm sure the history-bit will be good for me too...
