Dang!
Been working steadily; wrote 1, 936 words, including the tricky bit with the transvestite and his gorgeous boyfriend, the bar full of gays and cowboys and the transvestite + gorgeous boy waking me up with their noisy lovemaking - all of which has been eluding me for days, so I'm not displeased.
It is, however, going dark; too late, now, for a walk. I've missed a lovely day that will never come again, holed up in here, curtains drawn, tapping away on a laptop. What kind of fool am I?

Oh, if only that were true (o:
"this part sounds fascinating..."
You'd think so, wouldn't you, only it's not. It's what's been tying me in knots for days; nothing really happened the characters were fascinating, and the town (it was like being on the set of a Western), but nothing much actually happened beyond the brief description above. I can't leave it out of the book because... well, you just can't chuck great characters like that away - but I've worked on it and worked on it and it's still not all that great. Hey ho - I'm leaving it for now; I'll come back to it in the revisions, see how it looks then ::sighs deeply::
On with the satanic chicken... Now *that's* a story. ::G::
