... with great difficulty. I have so much to do and my flist is so massive - I've just gotta stop browsing every time I stop for tea (this is often). I know I'm behind here; lots to read, lots of commenting to do but it really will have to wait till tonight ::sigh::
I just finished the last 1500 words of my book; Santiago's finished!!! At last! ::and there was much rejoicing:: On now, to Guantanamo, where I met good people and stupid things happened - the kind of things that make for brilliant stories, things that you know, even as they’re happening, are going to make brilliant stories later, but are a total pain in the bloody arse when they're actually happening to you.
Anyway, with chapter 10 complete, I get to add the total to my progress chart, now standing at a pleasing 62, 330 words; about 69% of the (estimated) total.
I'm off for a strenuous walk now, before it rains - it's gone awfully dark out there ::meep:: - gotta get some exercise in before the snow they’ve promised us for the weekend ::laughs with a slightly unnerving, hysterical edge::. Then I have to put the bathroom back together (yup, it's all finished at last!), make a start on clearing the spare room (oh God preserve us) so we can decorate in there, have a work out, then get on with a bit more of that there Rainbows sequel.
Such is my life. The excitement's a killer, but I'm learning to cope.
