No, really, I honestly am. Dunno what's up, it started yesterday with me just feeling all drifty and achey and out of sorts and mad-tired, but unable to sleep. ::sigh:: Hey ho. I think it's just the start of a cold but I really could do without it. I'm drinking warm, spiced elderberry cordial and feeling suitably sorry for myself.

And I'm just not keeping up with LJ at all; it's been a busy time, trying to get the parents house renovated to sell and get our own fit to put on the market and, writing wise, I'm trying to concentrate on finishing my novel, even though one of my  TS wips is bugging me almost daily; maybe I'll give in to that tonight. And my website is being almost continuously struck by porn-spammers (and not in a good way). My time is under constant attack.

Moan moan gripe moan. Sorry.

And I just read a marvelous bit of meta on Fitz Kreiner. If you're unfortunate enough never to have encountered the Fabulous Fitz, you should get a hold of some EDA's (Eight Doctor Adventures - the series of novels put out monthly by the BBC that continued the story of the Eighth - Paul McGann - Doc). Fitz was a companion in those books; the most wonderful companion with his incredible angst and loneliness and almost visible love for the Doctor. Oh how I loved him. I miss him terribly,  and now I'm desperate to read a Fitzy EDA and I can't, cos I'm at Mum's and I don't have any here. )o: Maybe some EDA fic will do the trick...

But I'm thinking you should just ignore the ramblings of a dying woman. Maybe I'll post again when I feel a little more coherent. Or maybe not...

Poor you, hope you shake it off soon, with good weather round the corner, you do not want to be ill.

Thanks hon. I've been downing hot Ribena by the gallon and am feeling a little more human now. (o:

Thanks for the hugs, hon, I am in need right now. T_Verano has sent me a Blair in just a henley and I'm hoping to get some off him, too. (o:

That's not fair, not at all. Feeling bad and having no time and Not Having What You NEED To Read Immediately At Hand is just sucky. Hope the cold flees quickly and you feel better soon. ::Offers Gilly Miracle Feel-Better Tonic laced with spare time, and soothingly rubs her feet while tucking an afghan around her. ...On second thought, imports Blair to the kitchen nearest Gilly so he can concoct something involving niktabi root while wearing an extremely blue Henley. Or less.::

Eh, glanced at the Fitz meta (out of sheer rebellious "Not RL now, Noooo!" procrastination) -- not that I know, or ever will know, anything at all about Doctor Who, but it was certainly entertaining.

Oh baby, thank you so much for the tonic and the Blair. He is making me feel SO much better just from standing there in the kitchen in just his Henley. (o:

And thank you for your kind thoughts. I just got back from taking Mum and Dad to the doctors (different doctor, regular, NHS doctor, not The Doctor, with the TARDIS and all that - but then you probaby realised that, right?) then got soaked picking up their prescriptions whilst feling like death myself, but I had some hot blackcurrant and a bikkie and am actually feeling a little better, thanks.

Glad thouh I am you enjoyed the meta (such an enthusiastic style ::G::), it's a shame you're not into the good Doctor because you would SO love it and Eight and Fitz are so in love and so mutually angsting and it's just... ::flails::

And I so wanna get on with that Blair's dad tale, having thought up a pleasingly satisfying luuurve scene between our boys. I just need to dredge up the energy from *somewhere*.

How about you, hon? Got any new drabbles secreted about your person? ::she asked with coy expectancy::

Getting soaked -- so not nice! But I hope the feeling better trend is continuing, despite having to brave the elements. ::is glad Blair is helping, Henley and all (or nothing)::

You brighten up my afternoon with the thought of unsuspecting patients walking into a doctor's office and being met with Doctor Who. (Well, I can't *really* imagine it, but it *sounds* like a good time would be had by me, watching.) ...Fitz does sound interesting and angst-imbued, I must say...

"Pleasingly satisfying luuuurve scene" ... Here, take some of my energy. No problem. Here you go.

(Expect drabbles coyly, if you will, but I've been truly horribly bad and have so much RL stuff to deal with that I've been putting off that I'd just emigrate if I could. Of course, if anything *insists* on being written *now*... I have no self control whatsoever about that. ::RL nods snidely::)

Sorry, babbling on when you should be convalescing (I hope) or ogling Blair, or doing something of equal recuperative importance. Feel better soon, I hope!

"I'm poorly "

Oh dear! I do hope you feel better soon hon.
With Blair + red henley, making a delicious, warming, soothing, cure-all drink for you. Enjoy!

Sending you lots of hugs and good vibes.

*Hugs + GV*

P.S. Blair's drum has been confiscated so he can't torment you with the 'cure' he tried on Jim.

Thanks babe - all hugs gratefully accepted. I'm starting to get over it now; quite a nasty little bug though, so keep warm yourself.

Sorry you're not feeling so good. I think writing some TS wip would make you feel so much better. :o)
Take care sweetie and keep warm!

"Take care sweetie and keep warm!"
Thanks for the kind thoughts hon, though, tbh, keeping warm's not an issue. Mum and Dad keep the ambient temperature here at slightly-above rainforest levels. (o:

"I think writing some TS wip would make you feel so much better. :o)"
You think? TBH, I've hardly looked at the laptop for a couple of days; I had that horrible everything's-too-bright headachy thing. Maybe I'll have a go today.

Aw, I'm so sorry you're feeling bad! I hope by the time you get this that the hot drinks and Blair-in-just-a-Henley have worked their magic...

And, when you're feeling better, I've posted the next part of my WIP...mystical stuff abounds...

LOL. I'm just starting to get over it, thanks. Still a bit tired, but not exactly ill anymore. Ah the magic of semi-naked pretty.

Oooh. Nice. Mystical stuff sounds good. (o:

((hugs)) I hope you're feeling much better by the time you get this. I'm miserably behind on my LJ, AGAIN. Life just has to be very complicated sometimes. Sending some sunshine and warm weather your way, hope it makes you feel better.

Thank you, baby. Some sunshine would be nice - the snow's gone now but it's dreary and dull.

Oh, Gilly, I'm so sorry you're feeling ill. I'm just getting over some kind of stupid virus that may or may not have been a cold. If it's something similar, it'll be gone in a few days. ::hugs tightly and tries to avoid breathing on Gilly:: Take care of yourself and stay warm.

I'm feeling much better thanks - no sooner had my body recovered than my laptop went down, which was infinitely more painful. She seems better now, though, too.

Thanks for the good wishes.

Oh yuck - you sound like you've got THE THING that's going around here... the local version involves coughing like a sheep.

Hope you feel better soon ::hugs you gently::

I've had THE THING? O:!

No cough; just a 48 hour 'Thing', it seems, though I now have a nose full of cold sores; my mucus membranes are herpes city which is not pleasant, and probably WAY too much information for you, sorry honey! - but at least they're hidden away; nasty but not disfiguring ::is so shallow :: ::VBG::
