I spoiled my ballot.

Went to vote - what a waste of time! Usually we have a Green candidate and/or a LibDem - this time, the choice was just the 2 big boys, so I did something I've never done before, I spoiled my ballot. As far as I'm concerned, when the choice is between a Shower of Bastards or a Coven of Wankers, there's no other option.

My, but it's hot! Spring arrived so late this year, but seems to have decided to make up for lost time and moved right into Summer. May is bustin' out all over! I took my usual walk up on to the moors above the village this evening - the waterfall is burbling over the gorge (no drought in Lancashire!), the trees are starry with blossom, bushes are thick with incipient blueberries and the woods are so beautiful they almost make me cry. Lambs frolick, Curlews cry, Hawks hover and everything is just too wonderful! :grins like a loony:

Lancashire is beautiful. I was so glad to move here as the area where I lived before was mostly terraced houses and brick walls.

Now it's hedges, lawns, fields and wide open spaces. Glorious! :oD
