The booing WAS predictable. The first three or four countries gave 10 to 12 points to Russia, propably due considerable russian minorities. So why the booing?

The Russia has irritated a LOT of neighbouring countries lately with the Web-attacks, Stalinistic history interpretation. propaganda war, and promoting hooliganism agains Estonia. Typically russia has only one target at time (divide and conqure), before that they targetted Poland, before that Georgia, before that Ukraine... so russian minorities supporting supporting russia has unbelieveable bad sound at the moment.

In addition, the voters rewarded Ukraine and the "Russia Goodbye" with lots of votes, and the Baltic states voted for Georgia, and vice versa.

There was lot of politics goind on around the ex-soviet states.

On the other hand Ex-yugo-states supported Serbia, it was nice to see that the scars are healing there.

The booing was about the partisan voting, it had nothing to do with the countries concerned. It is supposed to be a *SONG* contest. Politics have no place there.

The fact that countries voted for their neighbours made a farce of the contest, same as last year.
