[profile] mimbo, aka Chris, aka 'one of the founders of FanLib' has posted to my lj about how hurt he is that we're 'shitting on' his organisation without giving it a chance.

The thread is here, if anyone wants to respond.
Mood:: 'discontent' discontent
location: Really should be working by now, dammit.

Hmmm - not exactly a professional attitude he/she has there. Oh dear. :~(

::giggle::

It comes across as a hissy-fit Sir Elton would be proud to have thrown. Perchance this is why he hath been busy with the 'delete'?

It'll bnever take off. I honestly don't know why I'm getting so arsey about it. I think, perhaps, gingerbread has mellowed me.

And now I have to go and do some work. How are your pigs today, btw?

It was such a weird and clearly not factual response that I was even wondering whether he/she was involved with FanLib at all or was just trying to be a troll...

Not that there was anything that could have been said that would induce me to post there...I wouldn't do it even if they offered me cold hard cash...

Hehe, I'd run screaming especially if they offered me cold hard cash... ;-) As you said, sucks all of the joy of fandom/fanfic out of it. But we seem to all be on the same page here, so no need to waste any further time with this nonsense.

I hope, you're feeling better, Jen?

I had the beginnings of a cold, which wouldn't be a huge issue except that my chorus is performing its spring concert this Saturday and I didn't want to miss it. But the combination of echinacea and sleep appears to have beat the dastardly thing into submission. *g*

I caught up on your first post and um...HUH? They want us to hand over our work to them so they can make money off it? And if any big bad lawyers come lookin' to sue, we'll be doing the High Noon alone?

I don't think so!

And very professional phrases there, Chris.

Aparently he's going about deleting his messages - wherever he's posted, we're screencapping and putting the messages back again. (o:

Like I said...sooo professional! It really gives off reassuring vibes about the integrity of the people involved in it, doesn't it?

Btw, I bet he's annoyed that people are reposting his deleted messages. Heh heh heh.

In all fairness, we've all been there, I think - posted a wild litle message on the spur and then thought better of it. But then, we're not CEO's of an internet company that, presumably, is trying to court our favour.

Lol. In case you're interested, [livejournal.com profile] jdsampson, apparently also an employee of this very professional firm, commented on the entry I made on fanlib to my journal here.

BTW, I also noticed that he's started an "I love Fanlib" threat on his own journal which has gained kind of a curious but, at least wrt fanlib's professionalism (or lack thereof), fitting response from a user named [livejournal.com profile] truwest.
