And into my inbox pops the PM newsletter, which always makes me giggle.

I'm very fond of Eddie Mair; PM is my favourite source for news and today, it had a special sort of Friday-before-the Bank-Holiday feel which I'd like to share.

'Hello.

Friday has arrived and not a moment too soon. We are preparing what I can only describe as a programme.

Most of the bosses are away so I won't lie to you - we are going to be blind drunk by teatime. Not a word though or the BBC Trust will issue a damning report about us.

In the meantime, we'll look at out of hours treatment on the NHS - feel free to email with your experience. We've an item on Madeleine McCann, and, in response to requests from our listeners, and item on other missing children who have received less media coverage. If you'd like to see them, I urge you to go to the PM Blog.

We're thinking of calling this chap:

"A man from Penzance holds the new record for the amount of time anyone's stayed awake. Tony Wright claims he hasn't slept a wink for eleven days - now more than 265 hours. He broke the record just after 6 this morning, and has told us he's really starting to feel it"

See you on the ice at 5,
Prices apply to UK stores only.

Eric Miliband.'

I've finished re-writing the first, damaged chapters of what I like to call 'my book', I have completed porn for the Moonridge auction and am about to begin an attempt on the north face of my current WIP which I'm still writing for last year's Moonridge Auction. Oh me oh my...

I've been a busy bee. How about yourselves?

Go you! *g*

Me? Basically I'm recovering from being too busy a bee, physically. We just had new appliances delivered, but first I had to clean out a lot of our basement (after 31 years in this house, not an easy feat) so that they could take out the old chest freezer and set up the new one. THEN empty it and the fridge before the men arrived. NOW, after my sciatica and arthritis flared up because of all that, I have to get everything back into what I laughingly call order. Cause there never HAS been order in this house. *g*

There was a lot of dusting, washing floors under fridges and stoves, washers and dryers and such going on. Thus the back and hand problems.

BUT I had great incentive for once since now we have five new appliances, replacing our old ones that needed a repairman far too often for comfort.

Now I'm trying to get my second wind (not that I ever really had a first wind!) to do a bit more and get ready to go to Toronto next week to be with my sister and brother as we go through Mum's house, getting it ready to sell. Really not looking forward to that, but it must be done.

I'm sure all this rambling has just thrilled you to pieces. You can wake up now. *g*

(well, you DID ask. Heh heh)

Oh, after the day I've had, such calm, domestic normality is just the ticket. (o:

Clearing a house is a horrible business; we had to do it a couple of years ago for Mark's dad; my heart goes out to you.

If I died suddenly, the person who had to clean out my laptop would get a shock. LOL... This way to my secret life. ::G::

Thanks. I'm sure it will go better than I think it will. My brother is very efficient and took photos of every single thing in the house and sent them to my sister and me. We're now on Revision 10 of the list of things everyone wants, with nary a squabble, so we really just have to get the distributing of it settled.

Still, it won't be easy staying at Mum's house, knowing I'll never be there with her again, or even there at all.

When I go, it will be either J. or my kids cleaning up my computer and none of them will get any shocks at all. They'll just roll their eyes as they do now. *g*
