Biblical deluge

Is everyone in the UK OK? Did anyone get washed into the sea?

Man!

I can't remember ever seeing rain like that in these latitudes before. Sheets and sheets of it, hour after hour. We're OK up here, on a moor, 1000 feet above SL but I believe most of South Yorkshire is in a bad way. They're sandbagging houses over where my relatives live in Chapeltown and Ecclesfield and much of Sheffield is under water.

How about the rest of you?

It's blazing sunshine down here and really warm, we haven't had any rain at all!? I'm really hoping it stays that way for the two hour motorway drive I have to do this afternoon *shudders*

It's bizarre. It seems to have mostly hot a swathe from Birmingham to Leeds. It's hot here, but very, very wet. Not a pleasant combo.

I *really* hope it stays dry for your journey, hon. We had to cross the Pennines in this yesterday and it was absolute hell. )o:
