Is everyone in the UK OK? Did anyone get washed into the sea?

Man!

I can't remember ever seeing rain like that in these latitudes before. Sheets and sheets of it, hour after hour. We're OK up here, on a moor, 1000 feet above SL but I believe most of South Yorkshire is in a bad way. They're sandbagging houses over where my relatives live in Chapeltown and Ecclesfield and much of Sheffield is under water.

How about the rest of you?

It's not too bad here. The rain's finally stopped, though it looks like it might rain again at some point. :o( The gardens are looking rather water-logged too, but I think Yorkshire's been hit far, far worse than Lancashire.

Yeah, looking at the news, it looks like S Yorks and Birmingham have caught the worst of it. I've only ever seen rain like we had last night in a hurricane. We're OK, being up on top of a hill, but the roads have turned into raging rivers and the river itself is just scary! O:
