Sunday chat alert!

Chat room 2 and the message board on my site have been down most of the day and, unless they recover quickly, those intending to chat tonight are not going to be able to do it in the usual place.

Only the php hosted sectors are affected; chat room 1 is still functioning - it only takes 10 people but might be your best bet at short notice.

I've sent a series of messages to poweb, who host my site; not had a response yet. I don't know what the problem is, but it's at their end; nothing I can fix.

Poweb themselves have added a range of chatrooms to a list of new add-ons they're now providing. I'll look into changing the main chat room to one of theirs - but that's not something I can alter in the next half hour, I'm afraid

ETA: It's working again, right on cue. I will look into changing it, though.

It ended up being there, although it was giving us fits at first; throwing us all out every few minutes. Then it settled down for a while, and then it was acting up again a bit at the end. I don't know why it's been so testy lately! It used to work just fine...but if you come up with a better solution in browsing Poweb's offerings it might not be such a bad idea to switch...
